I know how a close friend of mine died: Holocaust.

only thing that makes sense in light of his incredible luck now.

Wasn't that "Occurrence at owl creek bridge?"

I'm sure I drowned at sea. At least once. I have an odd feeling I was in WWII with my dad, although he was in the pacific theater and I have recollections of the European theater as well.

Drowning at sea is one of my least favorite ways to die. I've done a transatlantic sail, not afraid of sailing, just would prefer to die on land.

I died, mainly, due to Cardiovascular diseases (29.34% of the time); Infectious and parasitic diseases (19.12%); Ischemic heart disease (12.64%); Malignant neoplasms (cancers) (12.49%); and/or Cerebrovascular disease (stroke) (9.66%).

But the funny thing is I don't have cool dreams about any of these things!

That's because you fail to see the malevolence in their eyes.

From an early age I dreamed of a large bridge with lots of scaffolding. I was in the backseat of a car driving on the bridge. In someways the bridge seemed like a draw bridge. We were going up and the car went off the end of the bridge. I would wake up screaming. I have always been afraid of bridges. I stopped having this dream when I turned 19 but can still clearly see the pictures in my head and feel the terror.

I was a soldier reconnoitering a village caught by the locals while crouching behind a hut. There is a significant injury (gunshot?) in my right forearm. And in a car at night while it was raining hard. There was a fire and I lived long enough to see the flashing lights of the cops arriving.

Its interesting that noone posted and said that they were a cat, dog, pigeon, or a cow in India for that matter?

Is your belief that your dreams are factually representing a "past life", or maybe are your minds way of using your sub- conscience as an outlet for concerns and stresses, or simply blowing off steam from your conscious, waking life?

I have had dreams where I was a bird, a larger-than-housecat, and other critters. Dreams where I'm not even there. Dreams where nobody else is there (I call them the "factory tours"). Dreams where narration in a foreign language is played over scenes of villagers speaking another unknown language (I call them the "Discovery channel"), and very often, dreams where I am aware that I am dreaming and will stop and redirect or repeat the sequences at my whim. I don't know what any of them mean, but I know that I would not share them with a shrink who had authority to net me and lock me away, because that may exactly what would happen.
