The Americans see it differently, bless 'em.
I'm beginning to understand it now. If someone with an American accent tells you they are half Scottish and half Norwegian, just smile and tell them it's interesting. They'll never have been to either country and likely even their grandparents haven't. And if they do, they'll complain about the shower pressure, the size of the cars and the price of the food anyway

(All said with love, you understand)

I did say I knew there were exceptions and Fresh was one I had in mind (I've just watched him dancing after all!).

I'm not trying to make an issue out of it, I'm just honestly puzzled that Americans, Brits, Aussies, Nederlanders, etc etc have all come together and yet very few of the ethnically diverse elements of these nations seem to have joined us.

I think it's pretty obvious. We aren't very cool. Look at us: 90% NERDS.

(not me. I'm cool.)

Hmmm. English muffins have 'nooks and crannies' -- what do Irish muffins have?

They're at work or in the pub. You won't hear from them until they hook up computers with internet access in all the pubs.

UG, do you have me on ignore?
(Yes, I know, asking that question doesn't make sense, but ...) I've been back in Australia for a year now.

We did have a kiwi here for a while, El Bandito I think he was, but we made him go to the doctor when he described recurring symptoms that were very likely a heart attack. I'm a little concerned that he has never been back. I hope he is okay.

I've got plenty of Irish ancestry, and good servings of German, Scottish and English, which is pretty much the classic pre-1950 Australian mix.

Nope. Just never saw you spun into any threads I was reading, hardly. Lost track, more like. Note the date of posting.
