I have a cousin who seems to have modeled her life on S&tC. She even had a wedding that one of my other cousins said was like it just came straight out of the movie. She's got some funny idea about a trip she's planned to Europe. She thinks a French boutique is going to hire an Australian...and pay her enough to live on. I think she's got rocks in her head.
I have to admit I'm a fan of the show. I think I'm a realist about it though. I know it's not real and things just aren't like that in real life, but it's good escapism, and there are some good story lines in my opinion. I don't think the relationships are realistic though. Particularly those between the girls and their men.

I think it's the bouncy castle phenomenon.

Bone is for the dogs, meat is for the MAN! I prefer women who have a little on the hips.

Besides, they spend all their time obsessing about men...not their hair.

They obsessed about everything, even some important things, on rare occasions.

I think it was interesting in that most of the shows were based on issues that most women do think about from time to time. Perhaps not to the same extent - they do want people to be entertained after all - but definitely topical issues for single women looking for love.
eta: so how many episodes did you watch Bruce?

So if you're representative of the males, do you think a lot of other blokes watched the show in the hopes of seeing boobs?
Also, as a man, did you find the things the women worried about surprising at all? Did you think they were things they didn't need to worry about?

I didn't/don't find any of them attractive. That being said I've watched the show maybe a dozen times and uggghh the movie too.

Daryl calls SJP 'horsehead'. I'm sure he's not the only one.
Sounds like you don't like the show classic. Why do you think that is?

Not to patronize you at all, but I tell my kids that that sort of phrase is not an adequate explanation. lol
