Well, shit. Since Wolf's raving about Watchmen, I guess I'll have to see it now.

FWIW, Ironman has overtaken my #1 spot for best superhero film.

I can't say I've really liked many "Super heroes" that have been made into movies, the films mostly fall into the trap are they made for kids or adults ,which is a shame because there is a market out there for grown up stories.
When i was a kid we had hundreds of DC and marvel comics
my favorite was this guy

Caveat: I haven't seen the Watchmen.

I like the Keaton/Nicholson Batman, they are both great at playing insane genuisesseses, plus I like the more comic book visual style.

I find the new ones are not fantastatical enough, which I'm sure is the idea, but it becomes a bit more James Bond, than comic book.

i though Iron man was only so so, but I wonder if that's becasue I saw it on a small screen, the Lord of the Rings movies aren't so impressive on a 27" TV.

Does The Fifth Element count, Leloo does save the world.

Flash Gordon! Well, Flash wasn't really a superhero, but it's along the same lines.
