Oh they're lovey dogs. Einstein is adorable. Is he a collie?

Some variety of monster. The vet thinks that he has some collie blood, but as for the rest, no one's been able to more than guess. He was a stray that followed me home.

I was walking down Greene St and I turned around at one point to see this little mongrel right on my heel. I walked another block and he was still there. I'd stop and turn and he'd stare at me. Finally I took off running and he never faltered for a second, playing a little game I guess. So, when we got to my place I asked him if he'd like some food. He seemed interested.

I walked into the corner store, bought a can, and he was still outside just waiting patiently for 5 or 10 minutes. He followed me to my door, walked right in and ate the food. I've had him ever since. Aside from some initial flea problems, and a loathing for leashes, he's been great.

Everytime I see this thread, I always think of Garfield mailing Nermal to Abu Dhabi.

Definately got some collie in him. I recognise a collie snout when I see one!

She loves fruit...that's a watermelon rind.

Dana, I was just browsing through this thread again, your dog's name is Pilau? Is there some significance to that? Or is it the rice dish, because I think that's fantastic.

It's the rice dish

Most Bearded Collies are two tone colours, but they can also be tri-coloured. Tri-colours are rarer and quite prized amongst beardie owners (apparently). We picked him out 'cause he was cute as a button and fell asleep in my hands when we were looking at the litter. After we'd chosen him, the breeder pointed out his colouring, which she was very proud of :P

Pilau rice often comes with three colours (white, yellow and red/pink) hence the name

Thanks Dana! She is the sweeeeetest dog you'll ever meet too...Can you believe she was on death row when we got her from the SPCA? (Actually 2 weeks past death row...but they didn't want to get rid of her because she is such a great pet!)

Quick clip taken a few minutes ago to show the boys with their new collars
They are now microchipped and their collars tell people who to complain to when they find a cat in their living room (all efforts to teach them manners currently a failure)

Excuse the poor quality, I wasn't sure if I had any battery left so it was off the cuff filming

They are gorgeous cats. Really friendly they are! Though I think Sundae can probably confirm that they're only half-cat. The other half is pure Raptor!
