Jains are the folks who have to wear facemasks to prevent breathing in insects, sieve their grains to be sure there aren't any weevils, and gently brush the the ground on which they walk with a broom to move away any insects they might step upon.

Perhaps; the book primarily covered care and feeding of bloodsuckiing insect patients, rather than what landed them in the hospital in the first place.

Hand held blenders! The huge canister ones seem to break all the time. The quality of smoothies is so much better with a hand held one. The clean up is simpler too.
