WAAS is still not fully implemented, as I understand it, so the accuracy of WAAS units will increase in the future.

I have the disks you need.

Drop me a line at andrey@hell.com and we can work out a way to transfer the contents to you in some way.

I got a GPS a while back ( small yellow Etrex ) and have been snagging locations for a while and now i can get topos and arieal pics for free !!! TOOOOOO FUCKING COOL !!!!!
I also looked at geocaching.com , hell there is a geocache just down the road from us !!!!

Here is the loc of one of my mostest' fav spots on this small blue marble we call earth ,
N 36 26" 14.0'
W 091 26" 21.8'
We don't own the island , but we do own a bit of land just past it
( the owner is cool with us hanging out on the island )
Verry nice and quiet in the summer after 5pm when the canoes full of drunk ass collage kids stop comeing down the river .

Yeah, the program flat rocks. Cooler yet is the fact that, if you have a laptop, you can hook up the GPS to the computer with your previously d/l'ed pics and topos, and it will show your position in real time on the screen the same way it shows you the waypoints you set.

Greatest damn free program I've ever seen, I think.

You can also superimpose routes and tracks onto it from the GPS. Here's a short track I made while walking the dog the other day. You will note there is a significant deviation on the South end of the path...I did not walk through anyone's yard or house, but it does demonstrate both the amazing accuracy, and the amount of error possible in the technology.

So is this the Spring River? Looks like you are in Arkansas, about 40 miles southeast of West Plains, MO. I've been to Norfolk Lake a couple of times, looks to be right in your neighborhood.

Heck, you must be the closest Cellarite to me...

You guys should come down some weekend in the summer . We own land at River side camp grounds just south of Mammoth springs . We and the party we are with get to camp for free . We do 2-3 Big camp trips with friends every year. You and your family are more than welcome to come hang out with us . As long as you think a fine evening is hunting for enough freach water crawdads to boil up and eat !
