1 -- them ain't two eagles, spread or otherwise
2 -- that's the right color of water if you want to look at a desert covered with thirty feet of water. ... Ok, I'm envious. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

How do you like the Marriot and why did you pick it?

Amanda did the research on the hotel choice, Pico. Good reviews, good Beach. We booked through cheap Caribbean dot kahm. The hotel concierge has a daily itinerary. Like a menu. I just booked the ATV Adventure for tomorrow.

This was a fun day. The tour guide was a cool guy. They showed us how to make war paint from rocks in the river.

Thats a large iguana in the 2nd pic. They have an infestation problem with them. Running over them was encouraged. We went up the foot hills of the Yunque rainforest. Humid, but cooler. Very green. The guy that took us to the place was a big help planning today's trip to old San Juan, too. Thanks Jorge!

Looks fun (but maybe a little noisy)! How far into the rainforest did you go and were you able to walk any of the trails? Did you see the waterfalls?
Have you been to any casinos yet? I have already made our plans. Flying in September 6th for 6 nights! I cant wait to see old San Juan and the forts.

That's what we did yesterday.
The Sea side of the fort. Lots of steps. Wear good shoes! Old San Juan is charming. They are big on the appearance of their doors. Is like their trademark. Every store sells miniature doors painted brightly. I got a blue one for mom. It's a fridge magnet, and was only $6.99.... but some are hand crafted and sell for $30+ This is the narrowest building in the city. .. We were told narrowest in the world, but I'm skeptical.

Where are you staying, pico?
There's a casino on the first floor of our hotel, but it's lame. Only one$5 black jack table that is always full. A couple$10, a $25 table. I just can't gamble that much money I'm skeered.... and a handful of other table games like craps and roulette. .. but mostly it's slots. Not on a par with AC. But whatever. .. it's still fun. The streets of old San Juan are really cool. Made of blue bricks. .. The most fun we had. ... and we spent from 11am to 11 pm there. .. was at Palmas bar. it's up top (the city is on hill, so when you go, go to the fort first and then walk down through the city.) We were down at the bottom and asked a waitress about the specials for happy hour, and she sent us to Palmas, where her full time job is. ... we ran into her in the way out 5 hours and a lot of rum later, and were able to thank her for the tip. The guy on the right is an aspiring football player. He wants very badly to make the practice squad on a CFL team. He got bounced out of the ncaa for peeing hot repeatedly. (pot) He showed me some video clips of him playing in division 2 games in PR, and he's fast as hell. I hope he makes it, just so the 45 minutes he spent beating my ears about it was worth it. Verrry passionate about it. The people are so friendly and proud here. The guy at KEK cigars was awesome. .. it rained while we were shopping, so he insisted that we sit and have some sangria in Dixie cups and wait it out. He gave us both a free cigarillo... Amanda had her first, and enjoyed it enough to finish it. Good times. I think we are going to just chill today. Recover from the rum, and relax in the pool. We fly out Saturday at 3....
