Ant bites suck. They hurt way out of proportion to what they should.
And monster, I'm sorry about your sun burn. I hate sunscreen, but sunburns are even worse. Sometimes I miss Maine where you just stay covered up because it's just not that hot. |

Stephen King seems to differ!
One of the (many) reasons I want to visit America - there's a thread somewhere to this effect - is that many places towards the North and East of the country have real seasons, the ones the English remember growing up with. Because that's when our parents used up precious film. Summer holidays, Christmas/ snow and the occasional religious festival (in a Catholic household.) We had a few really good days this weekend. I had to hide indoors to avoid adding to my unsightly collection of spider veins. But I was happy because the 'rents were happy and it was good for the flowers I've planted. Raining agin today. And cold enough to see my breath this morning when I went to get the papers. Rain, rain, torrential rain, cold. Temperate, sunny, sunny, sunny but cloudy. Rain, rain, rain, cold. Thass all you need to know about weather in this particular part of the world.
