I didn't mean "you'll get over it" as in, "you'll be better off anyway," I seriously meant everyone will get over it, and very quickly. As for the 18,500 workers, they're shoving the blame hard on the unions, but I'd be very curious to see what the salary was for the CEO and board of directors for the last 5 years. I'd bet any amount of money (their salaries, even,) that they weren't taking pay cuts to save the company, and that they clearly knew the end was coming and decided to just take the money and run. It's exactly what the execs did at my last employer who went under, and every other company I've ever read about that went under.

Also, if someone has been a baker for 25 years and the only thing they know how to bake is shitty "snack cakes," then it isn't Hostess' fault they can't find a new job. People are changing what they eat, but they aren't changing the fact that they eat.
