Oh bri! I'm sorry for all the shit you've had to be put through. Seriously, charge your son rent or tell him to leave. It should be good for him as well as you.
I'm saying that as a young adult who always paid rent when living with my parents after high school. I'm glad you did get the basement cleaned up. Getting rid of junk like that is like having a weight lifted from your shoulders isn't it?
