The main thing about pimpin' coat, and this goes for both the Syc version and the Juju version, is that it instantly commands respect everywhere. I think it would work equally well in the city, burbs and country. Equally well in local watering holes or Rittenhouse Square taverns.

Well, it does work in an urban setting, e.g. when I was wearing it at Lucy's in Old City. However, if I walked into the places my old man frequents in South St. Louis, or if I went into some of the places up here in the Far Northeast or Bensalem, I think I'd be automatically viewed with suspicion or contempt. A bit too high-falutin for some folks.

So wear a baseball cap to tone it down.

Heh...then I'd look like Silent Bob...though I would need to grow my hair long (or wear a wig).

Getting in shape tip(s):

Put your computer on the floor. Then, while you're reading stuff (ie: The Cellar), do push ups.

Flex your stomache muscles for ten seconds, whenever you're just waiting for stuff. Can also do the arms and legs if you don't mind looking like a phreak :oD

Drink lots of water. It ups your metabolism.

Yeah, that's about it.

I only have a couple resolutions this year. One of which is getting into better shape. Second is learning some Capoeira. Third is learning more C++. Fourth is getting the phisnuck out of PA :oD

LMAO. You mean push uP.

I've been all over Pa and have never found myself in, or passing through Phisnuck.

What dont you like about Pa anyway? The low taxes? The fact that you can own a car and not pay the governor every year for the privilege of owning it? The amaziningly common sensical gun laws? The great hunting? The lack of violent crime? That feeling that big brother is still watching over Mass and CT and forgot about Pa?

What, what, what?!

My own take on the Commonwealth (and the Philadelphia area) is a bit of good and bad.

Good: Chronic Renal Disease Program for Rho...only costs her $6 for Prescriptions, generally low state taxes, no taxes on clothing, beautiful scenery, proximity to DC and New England, "birthplace of America" status, similar to my native Missouri

Bad: High income tax in Philadelphia, lack of jobs, shitty roads, high beer and liquor prices, high insurance rates (especially in Philadelphia), similar to my native Missouri

I don't know what Rho and I are going to do come the summer (we have to say yay or nay on our lease in July). We've talked about moving to Delaware or back to Maryland...but a lot of that hinges on whether these states can provide the same level of care that Rho currently receives. (For example, we could not move back to St. Louis b/c Missouri is just now offering peritoneal dialysis...and from what I've seen, it's still rather rudimentary.)

Syc,

I agree with Slang ... try this.

Stay in PA, just get the heck out of Philadelphia. Philly sucks rocks. The rest of the state has a lot to recommend it.

I wouldn't say the City of Philadelphia necessarily sucks...it has its nice points. I actually like the city as a whole, though it feels like they penalize you to live here.

Moving to the suburbs is still on the table as well, though the job issue is still a predominant problem. The suburb move would eliminate the wage tax (if I'm not working in the city) and help the insurance issue.

We'll see...we're starting our planning now, since it could cost us a small fortune to move. I really wish I could get my whole job situation straight, for that would help settle the location issue sooner.

Well, dont bet the farm er anything, but I think things in the economy will improve this year. You may just find the job you want right there.

If you want, I'll be a impersonal reference.

Rendell staffer: Hi....slang....you were listed as a ref for Syc., we had some questions for you.

slang: (sound of a free spining revolver cylinder in the background) Who?....Oh yea, that pimpin coat guy, you hire him yet?

I'm seeing some improvement already...there have been better jobs on the online sites in the past few weeks.

I'm about to lose my current job...approximately the middle of February. I'm not sweating it too tough though...either the agency will find me another job, or I can draw unemployment (in which I'll make as much as I currently do working). More on that later.

lets try this again

Hey, I just found this too. It may help you save some dough. You could refurb the back half as you like then leave about half the seats. Park the bus at "home" and kick back in this econo-rv, then pick some people up on the way to work for gas money.

They're selling for 3450! only while supplies last!
