My angina works almost exactly opposite to how your character feels. The symptoms, mild or otherwise, only ever appear in the first few minutes of exercise and so long as I ease off a bit will disappear by the time I'm properly 'warmed up' - they don't return even when I'm working harder or nearly exhausted.
