It depends on what someone is expecting in a picture. jano was obviously looking for information... something new, different, maybe exciting. This image isn't about information, it's about composition. The delicate threads of the webs against the gnarly Pine, the sheen of the fisherman's wake against the misty brown water. Things most of us have seen, together in one picture, that JasonMac73 took the time and trouble to capture.

He took this picture too...

It's also very good, but I like the first picture better, and since I took the time and trouble to find and post it, it's my choice.

Ohhh, that is why it's called Image of the Day and not "Pitchers of things you ain't never done seen before" of the Day.

Jano's just taken aback because the cute animal pics usually come on Friday. The question is, are we supposed to eat the spiderwebs, or the fisherman?
