Seriously, there is more to music than rock. Just because something is called "pop" doesn't mean it's any worse or better than "rock" which is just another name for a type of music with widespread appeal to certain groups.

Monster, check out James Gang's "Walk away" or "Funk 49." It may feel like a 90's beer commercial, but I think they made some of the best music.
