Race is a completely overblown notion in modern society. It is nothing more than a political vehicle in an effort to win votes, prevent votes, or make money on the fear and politics. This country will never move forward until we all start calling ourselves Americans, without the prefix, suffix, or other unique identifier.

I like what you said about calling ourselves Americans Merc. That was what my Sicilian father told me as a child. That he wanted to be known as an Americian.
