Nice idea but mine would only show another door. There is this odd lever around the peep hole that one is suppose to say 'who's there' through the door? I guess that is what it is for. I don't even know which way is open or closed. lol
I never use it of course. It seems silly. I just play with it and wonder what it is. Anyway, Nice shots so far. They look pretty good too.I am waiting for more. ![]() |

Sorry, no peephole here, double-glazed front door - Monster will translate if necessary.
But I might try a shot through the letterbox for you (again, Monnie?)

A letterbox... Man, how cool would it be to actually get your mail delivered through your door? First they said they weren't going to go all the way up the walkway anymore, and they put everyone's mailbox down by the street. Now every new development has central banks of mailboxes at least a block or two away from your house. Soon the only option will be a post office box two miles away.

We have a mail slot in our door. When we bought our house, there was a mailbox on the porch. We ripped it out, and put a note up asking the carrier to drop the mail in the door slot instead. That was a dozen years ago. We have had a couple new carriers since then, and each time, the new carrier is trained by the old to put the mail in our slot. We don't hold our mail unless we'll be out of town for a long time and a package might come. It just piles up on the floor inside our door. It's always a little exciting when you open the door and have trouble swinging it all the way open because the pile on the floor is so large. There's got to be at least some good crap in there then.

Some of the old neighborhoods round here have mailslots/letter boxes and the carriers/posties will put the mail through them, but we have a box in a central bank at the end of the neighborhood

I have to walk across a busy 5 lane highway to get my mail. The carrier has already been rear-ended twice and the USPS still refuses to acknowledge that there's a problem.
