Okay, as it's now the What I Order From Subway Thread
Given the money and no calorie considerations I always have a foot long Italian Cheese & Herbs with turkey, cheese (standard, not extra), untoasted with lettuce, onion, peppers, olives, gherkins, jalapenos (usually all the salad except cucumber & tomato) with a little Honey & Mustard and a little Chilli sauce, no salt & pepper.

And I always eat it all up and then wonder why fI put on weight

I have eaten at Subway twice in my life. Once back in high school, and again about 4 years ago. I have no idea what I ordered either time but I hate their bread.
Quiznos is better... I think I've eaten there 3 times.

Here's my great food idea! I just ordered from Outback Steakhouse online, to pick up on my way home. This is a total splurge for me:

What did you have? I'm eating some wickedly spicy soup that Jigna (Dunkin Donuts lady) made. It's good but it's no Outback Special (med rare) with green beans and sweet potato...

I had a 9 oz filet, medium. Yeah, I totally splurged. I only ate a few of the fries, and the other side was more potatoes (garlic mashed) and those are both the rest of the weekend's meals. Oh, plus the mini loaf of rye bread. Waiting to eat that as well.

It was good. I did something nice for myself today, though I totally blew my weeks worth of salads!

I was verryyyy close...

I got to the dessert page and clicked to see a description of Chocolate Thunder Down Under, or whatever it's called...then never got back to the right page.

I called it fate and went on.

There's some odor Subway pumps out that's complete barfville. I have no problem with any other sandwich store. I needed lunch one day and Subway was the only place around, so I went in, but there was a line and I had to leave before I got served ..but that was Ok because suddenly I didn't need to eat any more. I've eaten Subway and it's OK I guess, but someone else needs to go in and get it.

It's got to be that Subway "bread" that's barfing you out--there is way too much yeast flavor and mushiness going on there.

A meatball sandwich works best on a hollowed-out hoagie roll--toasted is wonderful, but does not have to be. A good roll ought to be chewy and crusty enough on its own to withstand the moisture of the sauce (or gravy, if you want to get all south philly) and the girth of the meatballs.

I will never get over wondering how Subway survives at all around here.

There is a different explanation for the smell.

sub = submarine = long and round and full of seamen.
