I ate some bacon this morning, after seeing the piggie pics. Does that count?

In a world as vast as the interwebz afford, it is still a small one, eh?

Really really cool!

1976 in Oklahoma City. Joni Mitchell, Santana, and Little Feat. Awesome concert. Much weed was smoked.

I actually rolled into my favorite band like a bowling ball hitting pins. Not what I had in mind for meeting my favorite band...I looked like a complete idiot. Not sooo long ago.....heh. Had to be about 4 years ago....

"like a bowling ball hitting pins"......There was a half step (the stairs were black and they had turned the lights down) that went into the backstage area...I caught the half step with my boot, reached for the rail that I could not seem to find, rolled down the stairs and struck the band with my body as they were standing there waiting to get on stage.

I knew it would take seconds for the bouncers to get there to throw me out as this place was notorious for getting rid of prospective lawsuit candidates...So I dusted myself off, apologized to all standing there in shock, and said "don't let them kick me out" as this band had major pull with this venue..being who they are..And sure enough, as I got done saying that security had me by the elbow, and I was actually defended by my favorite rock band. "let her stay maan". The bouncer said no!! She's got to go!

By the time we got up stairs he let my arm go, and let me stay. It's a good thing, because I was the one that pressed the place to have the band there, and they had a great turn out...So all is well that ends well......

Of course I still feel stupid..The stupid part is, when I fell I was moving out of someone else's way as a courtesy so they could see the band get on stage..No more favors!!

Now that is an up close and personal experience. You still feel stupid? Nah, it's a great story!

Not much of a story. Slept outside overnight in a snow storm to buy Billy Joel tickets for me and some friends when I was about 18. Got bronchitis and was sick as a dog the night of the concert. But it was a good concert anyway. :-)

I went to a Styx concert at the Tower Theatre in (I think) 1991 and the A/C had broken down (it was summer). Passed out people were being crowd-surfed to ushers in the aisles to be removed to cooler air. Even Dennis DeYoung thanked everyone for remaining in the heat.

Not the greatest concert story but I was not a wild youth.
