I'm surprised the camel is lying down. Usually most large animals give birth standing up. Perhaps that's why there was human intervention. Maybe there was a problem.

Did you know that even giraffes give birth standing up. Imagine the drop. If you were a baby giraffe, you'd want to hope your eyes were still closed.

I reckon the camel couldn't trust the human not to put a nice pot of seasoned boiling water and a few veggies underneath to get a head start on dinner
