It's not wrong at all. Heck, I listen to Jpop - it's my happy music.

I am embarassed to admit that there are about five rap "songs" that I have found to have redeeming qualities, either rhythmically or lyrically.

All rap songs have redeeming qualities. I think back to All in the Family. Sammy Davis Jr. guest stared, and Archie Bunker made the comment, "All colored people got rhythm". Rap music has dispelled that myth.

I don't get what's wrong with liking Amy Winehouse...? I think she's cool. Which means I'm worried now.

Anyway, I'm sitting down to enjoy the Eurovision Song Contest this weekend and I'm not ashamed of that at all.

For a brief time I was at her record label, but her husband/manager is utterly insane and dishonest and controlling and we told them to take a hike.

They called us from Amsterdam on their latest Euro tour and told us that they would not pay for hundreds of CDs that were ruined by rain in shipping. We then found them selling same CDs to fans. They never paid for them. Goodbye.

He also insists on no photography by fans at all... possibly because Melanie is like 300 pounds now.

"I got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key" Melanie? Candles in the Rain Melanie?

OK. Amy Winehouse does f*cking rock (I covet her beehive and her eyemake-up; but what woman doesn't?)

Was just checking to see if you were payin' attention.

Phew, I can go back to liking her without having to drop my voice furtively when I mention her name

I have also paid homage to La Winehouse on the Cat Got Your Tongue thread...

That's the one. Though the songs I most like of hers are 'Left over wine' and 'look what they've done to my song'.
