unless you are so obviously in the wrong that the judge would have to be certifiably psychotic to let you off, fight it. You can sometimes get by on luck as well, one of my profs told us a story about getting out of paying a $150 ticket (vehicle violation, didn't say what) because the officer with the paper work missed the court date.

That happens frequently with local cops...less so with the State Police.
I beat a ticket, in appeals court, because the cops pulled a Blue Flu on that particular day.
