what a fun movie. the script is a piss, and the flow was perfect. it's a stupid movie, but I want to own it on DVD. It WILL bear repeating. the guy that plays Will is really dry and surprisingly funny. This could have been a good (younger) Jim Carey part too, I think.

what started as a shitty day at work (5 deals before noon) ...i got in a decent work out and sweated my aggressions out, then had a nice swim in the heated pool while chatting with jinx, and then dinner at Mac Donald's: $26 eaten in the car......2 adults and 2 kids movie tix: $36; medium popcorn and one bottle of water: $10 ....a fun time laughing with the kids.....priceless.

ok...im ghey...but i had a great night, so go screw.

Farrell has done some pretty good stuff. This movie, however, is a movie I will more likely wait to see come out on DVD. The turn around now days from screen to DVD is a few short months.

Not at all Jim. Sounds like you had a great time.

I wish I could take your excellent advice but Mrs. Dar is helping her Dad recuperate from knee replacement surgery, so I'm Mr. Mom for a while.

I have to agree on the subject of Will Farrell. Elf was the final straw for me. It just went further downhill from there....

As for Sandler.... eh well I have to admit I his humor is pretty gross and juvenile, but he cracks me up at times and I can take his stuff a lot more than Farrell's.

Not a fan of Will Farrell's movies but he's funny during interviews.

Hi Siochain! Welcome to the Cellar

Now, see, I really like Farrell. But I didn't like Elf. Then again, I think that was really aimed at a lower age group. It wasn't really meant for me to enjoy :P My youngest niece, however, adored it.

A funny part that stands out in my memory...that you won't see on the trailers:

In the early part of the movie, they get chased into a cave by a T Rex. It realizes it can't get to them, so it stomps off.

Will: 'is he gone?'

Dr Rick Marshall(Will Farell): yeah

Will: 'pussy'

I liked the part right before that where Dr. Marshall laughs it off and refers to the old adage - he has the brain the size of a walnut...

Shawnee, Farrell and Sandler aren't funny to me either. Not many comedians left. Bill Murray can be when he isn't trying to be artsy.
