So, yes, when you said overused you catually meant misused. You misused the word overused, thus proving that it isn't words that misuse themselves, its people doing them misusing. To follow your logic, we shouldn't be alllowed to use the word overused.

I've always been pedantically irritated buy people who type LOL when I'm confident they have not laughed out loud. RK used to do it a lot.
Then again, I upbraid people on TV who misuse literally. Although sometimes they make me LOL. Like the girl on Big Brother who was "literally all over the place" the other night. Now that would have been worth seeing. |
