AnnoyingGalaxy. it's the latest computer virus designed by some asshole korean kid. it spawns bedwetter names and creates accounts on message boards. then it is actually sophisticated enough to post waves of simplistic and trite posts. these multiply and focus on one board until eventually the RIAA gets wind of it, and pulls the plug. then it devolves over time as the hard drive slowly errodes, and the lack of maintenance that the depressed and disinterested moderator is forced into results in a system crash. then the cycle starts over. this is the beginning of the end of the cellar. it makes me sad.

A little off, but you've summed it up pretty nicely.
Amongst the AG'ers , there are some quality people that might just add something to this place, you may not have met them yet, but they do exist, and you may find yourself privledged at meeting them.
Don't knock them totally quite yet.

Each post is evaluated on its own merit. Or lack of it. The benefit of the doubt is rarely extended.

For the most part around here, posts are nuggets of value and those who post much but say little are not held in high regard. Nor are posters whose style resembles the uninspiring banter an untalented corporate rush-hour DJ.

I don't think the fall of AG nor the influx of posters and posts as vouminous as they are weightless signals the end of the Cellar.

The Cellar works. And its very effective at preserving its nature.

Thanks for stopping by. I think I'll give it a spin, see if there are any thinkers here.

What a privilege to get a direct compliment from Messy Babe. Thank you. Until next time...

I've had the benefit of reading some of the discussions between old timers here and AGers that have recently imigrated to the cellar.
It's not uncommon for newcomers to any style of intelectual forum to be out of place, and It's certainly not appreciated that they go about posting in a fashion that is not acceptable. Showing them the door could be a solution, but not neccesarily the right one. A friendly PM pointing out certain things might be a better way to go. I guarentee that there will be AGers here that will be apreciated by almost everyone. Some that will deffinetly require the boot, and others that will need to look around for a while to see how things work around here first. <<-Maybe whispering(PM)direction could be a more effective method of preventing useless threads from being created.

I'm liking the Cellar more ane more! Look at all the names I recognize now! Welcome aboard all you AG'ers! The only progress I think I've made is here I actually stray beyond their GD board (Home Base) and post in their other forums.

See ya out there.

You have to, Chey, to find the insults against AG'ers. Make it a game. (Hint look in the Cellar Meta forum. And Technology forum)
