6g fat per sausage looks good to me.
Hey, hang on - I thought you guys were all Imperial? Or are you bi-lingual like us? Nature programmes tend to use km for example, but all cars and signposts are in miles. Cookery books still have measurements in g and oz, but only show C or gas mark for temperature. Only quite old ones (or American ones) use F. No new cookers are sold with F markings. Markets are the last bastion of oz. I buy my lychees by the lb.

Most of us are not bi-lingual but we've been teaching kids two systems of measurement since the seventies... I'd rather speak Italian.

I am of '70s vintage.
We spoke Imperial at home and Metric in school. I ended up being unable to estimate any measurement apart from a metre or a mile. My bro - 4 years later - was better integrated. Personally I think we should make our minds up and simply go for metric. None of our school rulers have inches on, so why do we still still calculate distances in miles?

I am intending to make a version of Nigella's slow roasted pork when the 'rents are away. Why wait for them to go on holiday? Because you cook it overnight. Mum simply wouldn't allow it... Me and Nigella know different ![]()

I think I got cuttlefish when I went on my Asian Supermarket bender.
I don't know why dried fish are rare in this country. And when I say rare I mean unheard of in terms of national cuisine. We're a pretty chilly island nation though, perhaps drying has never really been necessary. Jellied, yes, fried yes, frozen (these days) yes. And the Scots smoke theirs [/smacks lips].
