Then it's a good idea to steal a car in the suburbs, to use in the city.

New old pickup

My old blue, gray, and rust pickup was totaled back in Dec. I broke down and bought a 83 F-150, 6cyl, 4 on floor. Hope it'll serve the purpose. Have put more money into it than I would like. Door window weather stripping, window regulator. Don't have to worry about and old one nickle and dimeing you now days. Think dollars.

Hey Buster, I was just thinking about you today when I was shelling black beans, we've got about 3 joint compound pails. I was wondering how you were doing.

I like the truck, you got me beat by three years. I picked up an '86 F-150 4x4. Our local carbuerator (<--whatever) guru rebuilt it and it starts up great. It only had 88k miles and had never been driven out of town.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Sounds like a fair goat roping.

That's great. Having driven the truck for a while, I now covet me one of these old pickups just to get things done every once in a while.

Buster, looks like a great old truck. I'm a bit jealous. If you lived closer, I'd have a hard time resisting the urge to ask you if I could borrow it every now and then. You know, for truck stuff.

Cool. A coat of mud, some dead soldiers in the bed, and it'll feel like home.

AN ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL SETTLE OVER THE REGION THURSDAY...BRINGING
SOME OF THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF THE SEASON. TEMPERATURES MAY FALL BELOW 20 DEGREES THURSDAY NIGHT WITH HIGHS ON FRIDAY STRUGGLING TO REACH THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 30S. THERE DOES EXIST THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD TEENS WITH HIGHS TEMPERATURES NOT GETTING ABOVE FREEZING ON FRIDAY.

While looking at this weather report, it brought back memories of the time I was waiting for my SS money. The city cut my gas off, them billed me for 5 bucks a month. I ask, If I can't pay my bill how in hell do you think I can pay 5 more dollars? Anyway I got that stopped and fixed the water heater for propane. I used it ever 2 days for shower, dish washing and laundry.
But years before that I asked them to change the name on account. No. You'll have to put up a deposit. Deposit my butt. This account has been here for years. OK. I'll go turn on water, gas and let run. Then you send bill when cut off to grave yard, because that's where the named person is resting. Fixed.

Later I'll post a letter to local phone co., which provides the cable, and internet. They just got a rate increase and I'm not happy. Today I watched football with ghost on screen. Hell was 33 players on each team. They change one channel to the CW network which states
Quote:
,"The CW Network was formed as a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corporation. The CW is America's fifth broadcast network and the only network targeting women 18-34."
I have as much use for that or a woman 18 to 34, as my dog does a bicycle.

Ode to Carl

No this won't be a lyrical verse.
My buddy Carl crossed the river late yesterday. He had stopped by around 10 AM to pickup pipe jack stands that he had loaned me. His brother called me about 8:30 PM.
He'd had one big heart attack not long ago. But wouldn't leave the smokes and Coors light alone. Hell he even set himself on fire. Which must have a chore, because, oxygen will not burn. Guess he saturated his mustache and got a spark?
I have a few tales to tell about us, so this is a work in progress. I posted a photo of the whole Sanders bunch once before. He's the one in stripped shirt. Someone made comment about him having horns.
