Arizona Wants to Buy Back State Capitol It Inexplicably Sold

Totally WTF, but I guess it could have gone in politics as well ...

Quote:
State governments have taken a number of different steps to balance their books in recent years. Texas Gov. Rick Perry (remember him?) proposed a new tax on strip clubs, for example, and a Utah state rep. suggested saving $60 million per year by abolishing the 12th grade. But no proposal struck as much metaphorical gold as Arizona's decision to sell off the state capitol (and a whole bunch of other state properties, such as maximum security prisons) for $735 million in 2009. Republican Gov. Jan Brewer signed off on the deal, and the state now leases the House and Senate chambers from a private real estate company at a considerable long-term cost.

But now, presumably still a little embarrassed by the whole episode, presented with the unfamiliar feeling of cash on hand, and rapidly approaching the state's 100th birthday, Brewer wants the Arizona capitol back in the hands of Arizonans. Here's the Yuma Sun:

The move will cost the state $105 million out of its current budget surplus. Brewer press aide Matthew Benson said the state has the cash.

Benson acknowledged the state actually got only $81 million for the state House, the Senate and the nine-story executive tower that includes Brewer's office when it negotiated a "sale-leaseback" arrangement in 2010...

"Most of our Capitol complex, including the building we gather in today, is not ours,'' Brewer said in her State of the State speech delivered in the House building. "So ... to make all of our Capitol truly ours once again, I'm asking that you send me a bill by Statehood Day that allows me to buy back the Capitol.''

Abolish the 12th grade! And what, have them go directly from 11th to 13th grade? That sounds nuts.

Pa. Man Jailed for Having Sex With Horses, Cow - Again

Quote:
A Pennsylvania man who admitted having sex with 10 horses and a cow
must spend a weekend in jail after having his probation revoked because he told
a counselor he'd done it again.

Prosecutors say 44-year-old Paul Ganter was nearly finished with court supervision
when he was ordered Tuesday by a Columbia County judge to serve time instead.

Ganter was sentenced to a year of probation last January when he pleaded guilty
to disorderly conduct. The Press Enterprise of Bloomsburg reports Ganter was
charged after having sex with the animals and filming some of the activity at a
farm in Main Township.

Did he get them off or did he rape them?

The former should be considered as deep petting (pun intended) while the latter is just animal cruelty.

As an animal lover, he should ask PETA to vouch for him.

Yer allowed ta kill 'em and eat em, yer allowed to rope 'em and throw 'em, yer allowed ta brand 'em with hot iron, yer allowed to cut their horns and their balls off, but yer not allowed to stick yer dick in 'em. Cause that would be animal cruelty, right?

Laughed so loud I woke up the cat. He was in the bedroom, I'm in the living room. Really.

Dude has his dangly bits damn near torn from his body. Where do they take him?

Ball Memorial Hospital of course.

Damn. I guess it is true what they say about a woman scorned! I have a question though. I seriously doubt if she could done that type of damage through clothes. That leads me to believe that he MAY have been "working at his computer" in a less than fully clothed manner. The article does not specify.
