Nirvana. Something about preferences.
Green means others can see that you are online.
Grey - Others can see that you are offline.
Red means you are in stealth mode and other cannot tell whether you are on or offline.
...I think.

She means the 0 happening in between the posts. I've never seen that, it must be a glitch of SOME sort, does it happen regularly?

My experience is that code remnants can appear like that when a page hasn't thoroughly loaded over a slower internet connection like dial-up. If it doesn't disappear after refreshing the page or happens with a high speed connection, then I'd look for other causes.

My ancient laptop finally died for real, and the replacement came with Windows 8. (And, meh. I'm not as miserable as I thought I'd be with it, though I do pretend the stupid Metro interface doesn't exist, I always go straight to the desktop.)

Anyway, my new laptop can't view embedded YouTube videos on the Cellar. I get audio, but just a white screen in the video box. I can see them on other sites. I looked into the status of Flash, but Adobe told me that it is embedded in the code of Windows 8 and there's nothing to install or update.

Is this a Vbulletin thing, or an "I'm missing some stupid local add-on" thing?

Not that I can see. And the videos do work in other sites.

It's not a huge deal, I often am not able to watch videos anyway (either because I'm on my phone, or because any sound will give my position away to the kids,) and when I want to I can just open them in a new window and then they work.

Update: I suddenly began having problems getting Yahoo mail to work with my browser as well. Who the hell knows.

I switched to Firefox, which Yahoo mail is fine with, and the embedded Youtube videos on the Cellar are working this way as well. I honestly prefer IE to Firefox, but at this point, fuck 'em. I can't use something that no one else is compatible with.
