Oh my goodness, what an exciting day you have all had! I do regret that my rather bizarre schedule kept me from participating

There were some amazing upsets, and probably an about equal number of victories that I'm quite pleased about.

Since we're working this out as we go ... how's about for future rounds limiting people to 10 nominees (As long as the interest holds out and we'd fill the field that way)?

I think the spontaneous vote when the matchup is annouced is a good way to go in the early rounds. But, to catch people who (ahem, like me) login late at night ... what about the person who makes the pick annouces the next matchup? We did that a couple of times on the Cereal Field of 64, and it seemed to work all right. That method doesn't rely on UT's constant attention to the process, and also enforces the "no two in a row" rule.

Oh, and radar needs to review the rules, such as they are.

Wasn't aware there were any rules other than picking those you like the best. If it's a contest to hang around all day hoping you'll happen to be online the moment they announce the next matchup so you can vote, it's a completely stupid game. I thought the goal was to see which of these the people in the cellar like the most, not which of these those who happen to be online during a particular 3 minute period like.

Some of us have jobs.

Don't participate in any thread you don't read. The first rule is no whining.

Oh, I get it. It's a completely stupid game for people who have no lives. I mistook it for a poll of which funny movies the members of this board liked best, which it clearly isn't. I'm sorry I took part in it. And that's not whining, it's an accurate description.

Completely stupid: CHECK!
People with no life: CHECK!
People with no job: CHECK!

That's me. Unemployed, stupid and living under a bridge. With a stolen laptop, a can of sardines and a hacked WiFi. Life is good.

NEXT!

Radar, after you read that the rule is no whining, just leave the thread without whining. It makes you look smarter, fulfilled, and employed.
