The United Nations is suspending its observer mission in Syria because of growing violence there. The official announcement came today from the head of the mission, General Robert Mood. The statement released from U.N. headquarters in Damascus cited rising violence over the past 10 days, and charged that both parties - the Syrian military and the armed rebels, known as the Free Syrian Army - are putting civilians lives at risk - and the lives of their monitors. NPR's Deborah Amos is in Damascus. Deborah, thanks for being with us.

When I was in college right before I flunked out I took classes for art apreciation
and I wrote my term paper on DaVinci and it was about him being a war taction, I got a C in the classes but I rate the teacher a an F.. cause I don't think it's true..

Yes, but the Syrian Government want us to think it's tribal violence/ terrorism. They didn't order no attacks and if anyone was attacked they were at home with their Mum that night anyway and she'll say so. So there. They didn't attack no-one and the tank tracks prove it because terrorists all steal tanks and you know it.
