Sounds good sky.

Chicken-quinoa-veggie soup

onions
cellery
zuchini
garlic
softened in a couple TBSP olive oil, pureed

also, chicken breasts, mushrooms, carrots, peas, half the jar of whole peeeled garlic cloves, braised in chicken broth, sage, adobo, lots of black pepper, cellery salt. Chop up chicken when cooked, add back to broth/vegggies

also, quinoa cooked just like rice

Combine pureed veggies, cooked veggies and chicken, quinoa, more chicken broth. Add some kale and some canned diced tomatoes, drained. Simmer until kale is soft. Squirt some lemon in there...

I looked up quinoa. It sounds very healthful and something that can be used around here.

I am sick... and soup was the only thing that made me even think food was a good idea.

French Onion soup
sauteed 2 large white, and 1 large red onion in some butter
When carmelized, I added 1 can of lager beer, 4-5 cups of water, and 4 tsp of liquid beef oxo

Let simmer 20 min, then put into soup pots, added homemade croutons, and mozza cheese, baked until golden.
Made exactly 4 pots ( which is perfect for this family) chances are I will be eating most of it myself... my kids are not huge soup fans.

Yeah, that quinoa thing: after rinsing the bitter off it, two volumes of liquid -- water or stock -- to one volume of quinoa, bung 'em into the rice cooker.

Can I gank some of these over to the Recipe Thread, which needs a bump? Or do you want to do it?

Onions, celery, garlic, butternut squash, and tons of carrots pureed
chicken broth
coconut milk
curry powder, red curry powder, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne etc
mushrooms
cauliflower
diced tomatoes
crabmeat
tilapia

It's not soup weather, it's GRILLIN' weather!

We had steak, pork, burger, hotdogs, sparrowguts, mushrooms, onions, salad (not grilled)
