Well apparently the people of the ancient world were a lot more ingenious than most of the people of today. Not to be insulting to modern man, but think about it. We can't figure how they did certain things, or built certain things. I mean sure, we could build pyramids today, but could we do it without relying on anything that wasn't here 5000 years ago?

If the methods for building the pyramids were useful or applicable to real life needs, rather than just grandiose projects, they would have been applied and carried down as tribal knowledge. They may very well have, we don't know, but it doesn't matter because we have better ways of building pyramids today.

Of course, if we also had some things that they did have - vast amounts of expendable slave labor and a supreme executive who can direct a significant amount of the wealth of the nation into a vanity project.

The show makes the point that the "whole lotta labor" theory is pretty weak; there are still structures that would have been physically impossible without some kind of advanced systems to aid them. Then there's the "why" part of it.

Sure we do - it's called democracy here in the U S of A. tee hee.
Hey, Bri, will you save me a seat? Finally saw the show - Not sure how convinced I am about the whole light bulb thing, and still want more answers please.

Oh, love those photos. The author of the site went to Univ of Dayton!

I was in heaven when I toured The Berkeley at the Maritime Museum in San Diego.

Yes, darling, but I'm over here, to your left (if you're facing North, that is) - come pick me up!

Well I am going to the store now to get some ale.
Gotta have something to drink while watching the show.

So are we going to discuss it here afterwards or something?

Dear Ancient Astronauts:

Please, I beg you, come back and get me early. I'm ready right now. I'll meet you somewhere if that would be more convenient for you. Bags packed, headed towards the Nazca Lines...should arrive in a day or two.

See you soon, and thanks SOOOOO much,

Shawnee
