PD is interesting of course, but its level of criticism is set far too high for me. I like a gentler, more conversational type of board. Where mostly people are as you find them (sock puppets excepted - but even those are obvious) and posts generally relate to real life.

I can think of some Dwellars that would probably suit that environment better than here, but I'm not one of them. Not criticising the board at all. Itls the same as when a noob whines about not feeling welcome here, not thinking they fit in - my first reaction is, "Go somewhere else then! We are what we are!" I like to be liked.
My feelings too, an interesting place to visit, but I woudln't want to dwell there, which is all good, horses for courses.

Is that like "different strokes for different folks" or does it mean something else?

So, I just looked up Principia Discordia via WIKI, and am all WTF. It sound like an early version of thisisnotporn. I need to go return some stuff to the library. I'll see if they have a copy.

keep in mind its a fifty year old joke/religion created by a couple philosophical hippies, and most pd forum goers treat it with the appropriate level of disrespect.
for new discordian stuff see the black iron prison intermittens and other ongoing projects at pd

Cellar roving reporter at your service once again...

So, I 'read' about 1/3 of PD last night. That's all I could stand. Remember the bi-polar grad student we had in the lab years ago? It was like trying to read her lab notebook when she was ramping up to full blown mania.

Some things were interesting...some funny-ish. Pretty much a collection of a bunch of inside jokes, like if we tried to write a book about the Church of the Whale Penis while high on 'shrooms.

Meh.

Ya'll keep "lab notebooks"? Oooh. I never thought of that. Maybe that explains why I didn't do so well in Chemistry.

don't click that link in LMNO's post. it's a guy shitting in i little glass jar, i think.

i closed it as soon as it became apparent that that was what was happening.

It's winding down over there, it would seem. I've hinted at an exit.....and gone off for a nap.

EDIT....oh no.....it's that thing elspode was telling about.....the glass jar up the but that breaks....oh damn him.

Why was that dumb? Did they make fun of our foreheads?
