You may have to spell out to these merkins that you find that combination a little weird....

(when I try to explain the sweet/savory thing, it doesn't work. Savory means strong-tasting, not non-sweet. Sweet only being for dessert is a WTF type-of-idea here)

I just cannot reconcile chocolate chip pancake with meat product....that's like eating ice cream sprinkled with bacon bits....the two are not meant to coexist.
