I sent her a link yesterday, she really liked the intro. Parental pressure will be applied. Your brother looks like a kid I know.

If by some weird series of events she ever ends up interviewing/meeting him, make sure she remembers that he is way too old and unambitious for her.

Hey, you're talking about Griff's kid.
Like her old man, sharp as a tack and can't be hoodwinked by ne'er-do-wells...

...even if their sister loves them.

What a resourceful and independent young lady! Very cool!

I used to get J Peterman catalogs, having been curious after the J Peterman on Seinfeld. I was wondering how your daughter knew what J Peterman looked like, then I realized "Oh, John O'Hurley must be in the cast." D'oh! Of course, google verified this, and then I got curious as to what the real J Peterman is like. It's an interesting story.

I need to ask her how she knew it was J. Peterman. I don't think she has seen much Seinfeld. Maybe it was mentioned in his Playbill bio paragraph.

Don't read if you are of a sensitive nature

Proud bad momma moment....

Polo Girl's oppo was playing dirty, pinching her hard after the whistle was blown so my baby called her a cunt Apparently the girl was a bit upset and so one of their mutual "friends" posted a snarky comment about it/sportsmanship on PG's faceb
ook wall. That's my girl

(she deleted the comment before I saw it but told me about it because I commented that I was surprised to see Littleshit had commented on her post about high school dress code but I couldn't see what he wrote -maybe because I have him on quiet mode.....) this facebook malarkey's all way too complex for old fogies like me

it may have been unsportsmanlike... coulda been.

but it's important to know how to respond in this kind of contest, and in the countless challenges that she'll face as she grows up. it sounds like she's gotten the hang of communicating in the way her desired audience will understand. I'm not advocating unsportsmanlike conduct, but I do advocate appropriate responses and I'm a champion of strong daughters. cliche though it may be, sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire. really, I'm tickled that she found a way to stand up for herself that was effective and not an overreaction.

Let's get back to things to be really proud of... she scored 4 of the 10 goals and she plays defense these days

Holy shit, my daughter.

So I was messing around on our little keyboard, trying to figure out the notes to a song we had been listening to in the car ("Freeze Ray" from Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, in case you're curious,) and I'd found the first three chords but was still mangling the fourth. From the other room, Minifobette yells,

"No, Mommy, it's supposed to be a G!"
"It is?" I ask.
"Well, a D or a G, I'm not sure."

The correct chord was a fucking D and G together. For real.

And once I told her in amazement that she was right, she casually says, "Yeah, I think I want to take piano lessons, too" (in addition to her current violin lessons, which she demanded two years ago and is still going strong on.)
