No, he talks to Sundae and grace me with occassional emails. I just sent him an email, hopefully he'll respond. He usually doesn't answer my calls so getting his voicemail would be normal for me. Sarge is closest to Sundae so when she's lost contact with him and is concerned, it is something to worry about.

She must live close to the address I have for him (Tupelo, MS) and almost certainly has his surname - Schuh.

I feel bad that I've not addressed this sooner. I was taking a break from the Cellar, or at least not participating as I have previously, because of my own issues. Now I feel I've let Sarge down.

The number I have is still going to answerphone today.

ETA - I found her.

Maury is at the VA hospital. I've told him how everyone is worried about him. He only sent me a very short text to let me know he's still alive.

Thank God. I've been so worried about him stopping his treatment. I haven't heard anything from him directly, will continue hoping and praying.

When he gets out I'm going to establish proper communication lines. A number that goes to voicemail and a PO Box address is just too shady for someone with health problems.

I'd hesitate to call the VA Hospital "safe", but at least he's somewhere people are aware of him and not in the woods somewhere. Hang in there Sarge.
