Good luck with that. In my experience, the kids will mess up the play room AND the living room
and the kitchen, and the dining room...

In America a shed is a very small outbuilding that's not quite large enough to keep your lawnmower and weedwhacker in.

Yes, and it's also invariably covered in cobwebs. Even if you just built it, it will be knee-deep in wolf spiders in two hours.

Since case is an artist, I found this photo of painting a friend of mine did of a barn & donated to camp bluebird for cancer surviors, which she's one. She's been a welder at ship yard on gulf coast for close to 30 yrs. She also did one of a house boat that's good. If anyone is interested.

Wolf has a point there.

LJ are you building a barn to house livestock or a shed for storing equipment? Must be a zillion plans available.

shed1

• noun 1 a simple roofed structure, typically of wood and used for storage or to shelter animals. 2 a larger structure, typically with one or more sides open, for storing vehicles or machinery.

barn

• noun a large farm building used for storage or for housing livestock.

Sorry to be pedantic but yoos guys are usually somewhat cavalier about language.
To Paraphrase " "The Only Thing Necessary For Bad English To Triumph Is For Good Men To Do Nothing. ...

I would not be that difficult to do the wall framing yourself. Just a tape, a cut off saw and a hammer. If you were Ok with a truss roof you could either fabricate them on the ground using those special steel plate thingies or get them made for you. Probably just as cheap to get them made by the time you factor in the material cost and your labour. If you have enough "mates" locally it would be fun to have an old fashion barn raising to help you erect the walls and instal the trusses. Roofing maybe better left to tradesmen unless you have done it before, same goes for hanging the doors, installing windows.

Us guys should not underestimate the "I built it myself" feeling.
