Way Down In The Hole -- Blind Boys of Alabama, Spirit of the Century

Also, Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child, performed by the Blind Boys of Alabama. Soothing. Same disc, next track. It changed as I was typing the post, so I just kept typing. It's mournful.

Check pm.

Edit: For additional detail for sycamore.

Big, who does the version of "Motherless Child" that you're listening to? I know of two other versions (Martin Gore, Eric Clapton) that are quite good.

Truck has Johnny Lang and Stevie Ray Vaughn in it right now - I like to call it "down the road music".

I just received another bulk shipment of CD's from overstock.com.

I paid $26 for 25 CD's. I'm starting off with Brass Theatre III.

I picked up an extra copy for my father.

Next I'm going to listen to Her High Lonesome Days by The Cat Mary

It should be fun.

Wind Up by Jethro Tull from the album Aqualung.

I *love* Jethro Tull. You probably don't want to get me started. I won't mind, but it's something of an old fogey aquired taste. Sh*t. I'm getting myself started. Ok. click.

UTTERLY CLASSIC. The foundation of my Rock and Roll education.

Which answers quite a lot of questions, doesn't it. :leer:

Music from the Monster Movies (vol 2)
I was listening to the themes from the old and new Godzilla movies. The King Kong theme sounds pretty good. I think there was a little rearranging, because I don't remember the movie track sounding this good.

I'm kicking myself for not getting volume 1. It was only $1 and had the Twilight Zone theme.

I also have a pile of soundtrack albums including Electra Glide in Blue and Airport, Star Wars IV, V, VI, and some Star Trek records (to name some that I remember offhand).

I've always loved Dio's dark, sinister and kickass licks. Holy Diver was prob the best work yet. Vaguely demonic.

When I was "coming up" we called this type of music "heavy".

I just got through listening to Outlaws: Green Grass & High Tides. Not to soften the roll..............
