And above all, make sure you're checking out a variety of news sources for this war. Because if you're getting all your news from one source, you are unintelligent, and an oxygen waster. My viewing habits thus far:

MSNBC

BBC

FOX

CBS

CBC

ITV

Sky News

ABC (Aust. Broadcasting Co.)

CNN

Not to mention, all the print stuff...

My personal preference, of course, is MSNBC...Peter Arnett...what a coup for them.

Ever wonder what the US flag might look like if Puerto Rico becomes a state? Or we absorb Canada? These folks have a bit too much time on their hands.

The Nomecam does indeed still live, although it is now known as the Nuggetcam (now named after the local newspaper, the Nome Nugget, whom I suspect now maintain the camera).

"Nuggetcam" just doesn't sound right though...say 'em with me, people:

Nomecam

Nuggetcam

"Nomecam" rolls nicely off your tongue...it sounds pleasant. "Nuggetcam" just sounds retarded.

But at least I can continue my weird obsession with Alaska.

What the World Thinks of America: A web portion of a TV special that airs tonight on CBC Television. Media from 10 nations look at the US from their own country's perspectives. Interesting stuff...I hope they make the show available on their archives.

Apparently, some Canadians want to break from the British monarchy.

You can sign up online, you just can't call to sign up before 7/7 if you live on this side of the Mississippi.
