Holy snapping frog shit! I can't believe Shawnee would get so wound up about a stupid gun thread. There must have been something else cranking her engine before she started.

I don't think it was the subject matter, per se. It was the recurring nasty, insulting, degrading that seems to come from the pro-gunners on this board. If you disagree with them, you don't have a difference of opinion, you're stupid or foolish, or mentally ill. I think Shawnee just got fed up with it.

I don't think that is a one way street, nor are those reactions limited to gun debate, either. Go back through the forum and highlight any of the landmark threads -- this can be a nasty place.

There people on the anti-gun side of that issue who post with the same vitriol. Neither contributes to the crux of the issue.
