I say, Professor SmartAz!

Why can't a woman be more like a man?
Men are so honest, so thoroughly square;
Eternally noble, historically fair.
Who, when you win will always give your back a pat.
Why can't a woman be like that?

Why does every one do what the others do?
Can't a woman learn to use her head?
Why do they do everything their mothers do?
Why don't they grow up, well, like their father instead?

Why can't a woman take after a man?
Men are so pleasant, so easy to please.
Whenever you're with them, you're always at ease.

Would you be slighted if I didn't speak for hours?

COLONEL PICKERING:
Of course not!

PROFESSOR HIGGINS:
Would you be livid if I had a drink or two?

COLONEL PICKERING:
Nonsense!

PROFESSOR HIGGINS:
Would you be wounded if I never sent you flowers?

COLONEL PICKERING:
Never!

PROFESSOR HIGGINS:
Well, why can't a woman be like you?

One man in a million may shout a bit.
Now and then, there's one with slight defects.
One perhaps whose truthfulness you doubt a bit.
But by and large we are a marvelous sex!

Why can't a woman take after a man?
'Cause men are so friendly, good natured and kind.
A better companion you never will find.

If I were hours late for dinner would you bellow?

COLONEL PICKERING:
Of course not.

PROFESSOR HIGGINS:
If I forgot your silly birthday would you fuss?

COLONEL PICKERING:
Nonsense.

PROFESSOR HIGGINS:
Would you complain if I took out another fellow?

COLONEL PICKERING:
Never.

PROFESSOR HIGGINS:
Why can't a woman be like us?

Why can't a woman be more like a man?
Men are so decent, such regular chaps;
Ready to help you through any mishaps;
Ready to buck you up whenever you're glum.
Why can't a woman be a chum?

Why is thinking something women never do?
And why is logic never even tried?
Straightening up their hair is all they ever do.
Why don't they straighten up the mess that's inside?

Why can't a woman behave like a man?
If I was a woman who'd been to a ball,
Been hailed as a Princess by one and by all;
Would I start weeping like a bathtub overflowing,
Or carry on as if my home were in a tree?
Would I run off and never tell me where I'm going?
Why can't a woman be like me?

I agree that UT had a lot of points. It will take a couple of years to address all the implications and misconcep... uh, I mean, things we see differently.

I'll work on it. Watch this space.

I liked my song. It's from MY FAIR LADY. Wasn't it appropriate?

The gift of friendship is not limited to either of the sexes. I just discovered that I may come into a Swiss inheritance! And salamanders have always been a personal fav!

That would be great! Then you could help all those people, the government is screwing, directly.

I would, too, Bruce! Like I said, its a long shot and I have no idea what is happening over in Switerland, but were I ever to actually come into that sort of money, I would indeed turn philanthrophist (is that how you spell that, Wolf?)

Tonchi, what Kanton does your family reside in?

I take it that you got an email from a long lost relative whose recently deceased father was highly placed in the Swiss Government, and all you need to do is to provide access information for your bank account so the money can be transferred to you ...

Well, see, everyone here needs to send me a check because I have to pay $10,000 in processing fess for my 5 million francs to be transfered. Please feel free to PM me and I guarantee that I will return double whatever amount you send!

Actually, its a longshot, but it MIGHT just happen. My Mom is Swiss and has two sisters back in Switzerland. Neither of them have children. My Mom's twin sister took over the family home they all grew up in, a huge 3 story house built in the 1500's - it has a nice piece of land that goes with it. By Swiss laws of inheritance, as the only living direct decendent, I should be entitled to all or part of the value of that house (5 million Swiss francs). I have written my Aunt in Switzerland back last March and never got a a reply. I have no idea what happened to her. She may be ill or she may have passed on.

My last name is an extremely common one, so if my aunt HAS passed on and didn't have my most recent address in her paperwork (which she didn't), I would be extremely difficult to locate. I have written the government offices of the Kanton (a Kanton is like one of our states) of the town where my aunt resides inquiring what has happened to her. If she HAS passed on, I am the sole remaining person who is a direct relative. Its certainly fun to daydream about (NOT my aunt's death, of course), and you never know...

OK, now, I know we are twins separated at birth but this is too much of a coincidence MY momster's relatives in Switzerland live in a huge 3-story house built in the 1500's. If you tell me that your momster is related to the Auers (known for chocolate and wines) that is just TOOOOO much!

"Yeah, well, I've gotta wash my socks. I'm not sure yet how long I'll hang around here. I was hoping for better discussions. I mean without the insults"

Without the insults you say? Well.....your post was insulting. I was insulted. What you said was insulting to me as a woman. Go figure. You can post something so blatantly insulting to me and my sex and then get pissy because you get insulted back?

Grow up
...................ok that's perhaps a tad harsh but fuck it I'm in a bad mood :P

Please, women are only equitable in the market place until they have kids. Then things have a way of getting re-prioritized in a way that has women's hands tied behind the apron strings...kiddy kennels are not the answer.
