Approved.

We likes da pictures.

2003 are available at [url=http://scribe.fork.org[/url] The Official Scribe Home Page.

Yes, that's right. I still haven't gotten 2004 up and organized, although they are on Snapfish.

Please also visit the The Plastic Forks Homepage which will explain most of your questions, and cause you to have more, which can be answered in the forum!!

OK, the URL is http://home.comcast.net/~richlevy/PFork04/ . The mixed case in the directory name is very important.

BTW, after 2004 I bought and rebuilt a hand drum and bought a spare for my friends. I've never been to drum circles but I did have a lot of fun at Forks. The bodhran I bought wasn't a hand drum although some people used it as one, and the rythms a bodhran and a hand drum produce are really different. I had to borrow someones drum to really play along and decided to fix up one for myself.

I thought about bringing a CD player, but the last two years at Plastic Forks have been a make-your-own-music event and that has made it stand out from all the other BBQ's and outdoor parties I've been to.

BTW, is it too sexist to mention the fun to be had banging a drum while barefoot women dance around a large bonfire?

BTW the Official Scribe Homepage link was invalid this is the correct link.

You're welcome to bring the CD Player. We like tunes. And I think we get the screenporch this year, so it wouldn't get rained on.

Actually, I think it's only the last two or three years we haven't had a CD player.

You may have noticed ... having some technological innovation has not stopped us from improvising as necessary.

Well, I've just spent the last hour figuring out that my wild hair to fly out to PA, rent a car, and show up at Forks isn't going to work out. Damn and blast.

It isn't really the money as much as it is the constraints of time and travel. In order to get affordable flights, one must travel at absurd hours. This would leave me a lot of slack time with no way to be anywhere to kill it and still be able to do things like, well...sleep.

Perhaps I'll plan a year in advance and see if it works out better for 2006. What will the Forks date be in 2006?

Forks starts the Saturday closest to the Summer Solstice and the Full Moon. If this date is the Saturday Prior to Father's Day, Forks will be the week following.

Forks ends when we peel the last drunk off the lawn on Sunday.

Hey, Els, we should do a road trip out there...or maybe we can have our own mini-forks. The Kansas version, you know....complete with 40s of Keystone. We could get Cowhead out here, maybe, too.

if you fly out here, Els, you can crash with me and tag along. Thus saving the car rental.

Space I got.

Arkansas?? Neato. count me in. Actually, Elspode, my boyfriends kids were got from Oklahoma... almost Texas. we stopped off in Wichita to visit his parents first.

Let me know if anyone wants to come out here. I know most folks wouldn't set foot in Western Kansas (which is usually a good thing) but we have something like 8 or 9 extra beds and 3 or 4 extra guest rooms, as well as 5 acres surrounded by farmland.

off topic--

I just now "got" plthijinx username... PiLoTHIJINX. I have always struggled with the "pronounciation". When I failed to imagine how it sounded in my mind, I even tried to say it. All I ever managed to do was spit all over the monitor. Like the sound you make when you're spitting out a mouthful of cobwebs.

I am so slow.
