My apols for not knowing the full extent of the word (not sarcastic, these things educate me!)
But you will admit that despite my gaffe, a burp is not an object and therefore doesn't answer the question.

I think a hole can be the only answer.

A lamp in a room will cast a shadow if you bring a candle in.
