That has to be the worst children's fitness campaign I have ever seen.

It motivates no one and alienates everyone.

Besides, everyone knows telling kids to do something or to stop doing something because it might hurt them or kill them is a complete waste of time.

If you want kids to get off the couch then give them a compelling reason to hit the playground. Besides, I would think that poor eating habits have a lot more to do with shortening a child's life span than a sedentary lifestyle.

I like this approach.

I also endorse it.

I absolutely agree with you Beestie. This is 100% the wrong way to motivate. Not all kids are getting enough excercise, true. But what kids are doing otherwise is not all bad either. I know many kids who spend their free time working with clay or like some of you said, reading. This add is simply ridiculous and I think most people will see it as that..therefore although whoever put the add out could have had a very effective and and meaningful add, they wasted millions of dollars just pissing people off.

After spending too much time inside:

Mom: Will you go outside and blow the stink off of you? Thanks.

walking up to my kid, tagging them, saying "you're it," and running away usually works. Don't know how much longer though.
