Well done, Radar. And it's very wise and professional of you to not burn bridges as you leave.

Is that your way of telling us that you handed them a 78 page thesis on your view of the writers' strike at the end of the interview?

Glad to hear it, Radar! Might also be a good idea to avoid weighing in right away on any of the inevitable writers'-strike conversations, until you get a feel for how the general office stands on the issue.

These guys mainly do made for tv movies. I don't think they are affected as much by the strike as a regular show.

Thanks for all the support. I told a few people at work today that I'm leaving and some of them looked like they wanted to cry. I'm the most skilled and nice (as hard as that is to believe for you guys) guy in the I.T. department.

Actually they might be for 1 person there. I figured she must have had an orgasm when she found out I was leaving...assuming an old dried up bitch like her is still capable of having them and one could escape her dusty, crusty, and cobwebbed cootch.

There are many people at my current job who refuse to go through proper channels because they want to speak to me directly. They are in for a rude awakening when I leave.

I've made a lot of friends over the last 3 years. Hopefully the people at the new job will love me too. My sister-in-law Lisa got me the job (though she says I got it on my own) and she tells me the new company is "thrilled" that I took the job.

cool beans, dude. good luck and congrats again. I was only teasing, but perhaps i shouldn't have. It's always hard to leave people who appreciate you.

No, it's cool. I knew you were kidding. It just reminded me of someone I work with. There are about 3-5 people who don't really like me out of the several thousand I work with, but 1 in particular who hates me with the fire of a thousand suns....and the feeling is mutual. I wanted to stay around just to piss her off, but I'm not going to cut off my own nose to spite my face.

I'll miss my friends, but as they said in Jerry McGuire "It's not show friends.....it's show business"
