Various sources report that ballistics expert Dr Thomas Warlow ascertained that Terry Lloyd was struck in the head by an M62 tracer bullet from an American tank. I haven't been able to find any details on how he established this.

I do think it's important to establish the facts, and if that means discovering that a British journalist was killed by American fire then so be it. However if my Dad was a journalist in a war zone who had mistakenly driven into the front line and been killed in a firefight, I would accept it as a tragic accident rather than calling for the soldiers responsible to be prosecuted.
