Now, that is a chihuahah who understands her place in the world : in charge.

I love this thread. It's instant cheer-up juice. So many gorgeous dogs and so many wonderful kittehs.

For my pettastic news: no pics yet, but my bro and his family picked up their new rhodesian ridgeback puppy last night. In keeping with the traditions set with their previous dog, Amber (aka Amble Scramble, aka Fat Lass) they've named her Ruby.

She is 8 weeks old, yet to be vaccinated, and the first thing she did when they got her back was attempt to get in bed with and suckle from their 9 year old greyhoud :p Apparently she's a very cheery soul. Unperturbed by the jourmney to their home, despite the tyre blow out and subsequent wait for recovery, eventually landing home at around 2am.

The kids (I say kids, one of 'em's nearly 18 :p) have taken the day off school and college. Partly out of sheer excitement, and partly because nobody got any sleep til silly o'clock.

I'm going down later to meet the new addition to the Coombsie clan. I shall return with pics.

Congrats on your news, Dana (love the name Ruby)

A new arrival for the Robinson clan too.
My brother and SIL have a new addition to the family.
An 11 month old rescue cat, name yet to be announced.

What a gorgeous girl!
I expect I'll be round there this weekend for a cuddle.

A real beaut Sundae. I wonder if black cats have a harder time getting adopted. It is true of small black dogs.

Definitely - and it reclines far enough back to REALLY chill.
Danish, I think.

So cute, but soooooo destructive!!

Bad Jackson - victims here are: my outdoor shoes, Fisher Price Puppy, a coconut, the innings of the dog doona, the "pet proof" rear leather seat cover, now deflatated soccer ball, the squeak out of all the squeak toys, one of the kids toy guns and the the hose sprayer.

Not a bad afternoons effort.

Apologies for the poor quality pic, trying to get Jackson to sit still is near impossible.

Oh dear.

Looks like someone is bored and frustrated. Is Jackson used to being a farm dog? Now cooped up in a semi-suburban backyard?

Nah, Zen, he was little when we went suburban. Its days and days of rain, even though they get a 7km beach walk daily. Yesterdays walk was in a storm. Plus they get bones daily.

He is actually a laid back lazy puppy, but he loves to chew. Plus Lucy taught him to pull washing off the line (it has a fence now).

We love him anyway.
