Yes, it was rough on Carruthers being Sundaes pipeline when things got bad. But before that he's contributed a great amount of insight on aircraft, machinery and other subjects. He really helped me have a better understanding of normal UK customs.
He's an old man, and as such has acquired a lifetime of knowledge. Besides, dogs love him and they're never wrong.

I do not think of Carruthers as old. He's just getting broken in good.
He might be, but I don't think of him as old.

I don't think of 60 as old. Mid to late 70s is where I start to think of someone as old. Though it depends on the person. Some people are old in their 60s, others don't seem old in their 70s.
