I treat my hiking clothes with permethrin. It actually works, and with the serious threat of tick borne illnesses in Virginia, it's something I think is important.

I was concerned about it because I use the same clothes to work out in as I do to hike. I talked to the guy at REI and he said he used it when he was in the army and had no problems. so I gave it a shot on my last hike. I'm not sure if it was that or there were no bugs. I have a camping trip this weekend, so I'm trying it again. I'll keep doing it until it's proven wrong, really

I think there are a few water pictures here. I've been playing with point of focus more, though. I think this one is more in the middle and not on the actual water itself

I meant the rain drops and rivulets, on/among the vegetation.

Is that a purple mushroom? I can't tell without my Polaroid glasses which makes the purple shine like a light. Not that I made any tea.... lately.

I lost my lens cap on the upper bridge there. It was attached to my camera with elastic and I still managed to lose it. I bought 4 more - just in case

This trail had all kinds of blockage. This was the worst. I had to climb up an incline and try to get back down the other side to the trail.
